Teacher Biography
Hello! I am Sarah Pentzer. I grew up in a small town in eastern Washington state before attending school at the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. I earned my Bachelor of Music degree in K-12 Vocal and Instrumental Music Education in May 2008, and later went back to school to earn my Master of Music degree in Music Education in May 2013.
I worked for one year in Shoshone, Idaho teaching students in grades 6-12 Band, Choir, Jazz, Music Theory, Music History, and Class Piano before moving to Colorado. Next, I spent six years at H.S. Winograd K-8 School in Greeley, teaching students in grades K-8 Movement, General Music, Choir, and Band. I am excited to spend to be here for my second year at STEM Launch teaching grades 6-8 Band and General Music!
In my free time, I love to hang out with my husband and our two little boys. I like to cook, play video games, and watch football (Go Seahawks!). As a lifelong learner, my next educational goal will be to finish my Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership and become a licensed school administrator. It is my hope to instill in my students a love for learning and to use music as a pathway to many other forms of knowledge and expression!
Please feel free to contact me any time you have questions, concerns, or kudos regarding our music program.
